St. Joe's Food Pantry 5k Run/Walk

We are in need of volunteers!

St. Joe 2019 is in need of Volunteers for the following:

  1. The Early Packet Pick Up & Registration Event at Dick's Sporting Goods Store Appleton from 2:00PM to 6:00PM on Friday afternoon, October 11th!
  2. Race Day Morning Saturday, October 12th at the Bridgewood Resort Hotel & Conference Center in Neenah from 6:30AM to 8:00AM! Please tell people they can Volunteer and still Run or Walk the St. Joe 5K!

Course Description:

This fast, mostly flat, USATF certified new St Joe 5K for 2019 features
• the scenic fall colors along Jewlers Park Drive,
• the Harrison Recreational Trail (asphalt),
• the pictureesque Bridgewood Golf Course, and
• the Bridgewood Recreational Tral (asphalt).



Amenities/Perks
The Shirt: A “very cool” technical feel good long-sleeved T
The Buffet: Noodles & Company mac and cheese, Papa John’s pizza, Festival Foods bagles, Great Harvest bread and cookies, Bridgewood Resort Hotel veggies, and more
Door Prizes: A St Joe’s tradition

Chip Timed: Yes
USATF Cerfified Course: Yes
Awards: Overall (M/F 1st/2nd/3rd) and Age Group (M/F 9-, 10-14, …, 75-79, 80+)

Strollers: Yes
Dogs: Yes, but dogs must be on a leash and no dogs are permitted in the hotel
Runners with stollers or dogs are requested to line up in the back.
Walkers:
Self Timed: Yes (Walkers wanting a chip time can start at the end of the runners)
Family Friendly: Yes (strollers and wagons are welcome)

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR ST. JOE 2019!

 

Hello! It's that time of the year again, the time of the year every year (for the past 26 years) when the Pacesetters give back to our Local Fox Valley Community by Raising Money & Food for the Fox Valley's Largest Food Pantry, the St. Joseph Food Pantry, which touches the lives of over 5,000 people a week year-round in four local counties (Outagamie, Winnebago, Calumet, & Waupaca)!

 

The Pacesetters 26th Annual St. Joe's 5K Run/Walk 2019 (aka Motion Potion 26...The Disappearing Couch Potatoes) will take place again this year on Saturday morning, October 12th at the Bridgewood Resort Hotel & Conference Center in Neenah!

 

The Pacesetters Founded the Annual St. Joe's 5K Run/Walk and it is 100% Volunteers Driven (which means nobody gets paid)! As this is our Clubs Big Annual Giveback To The Community Event, with this message, I am reaching out to all my fellow club members to see if you can help out and volunteer this year!

 

As the St. Joe Race Director, a question that comes up every year is, "Can I do both, Volunteer and Run the St. Joe 5K", and "Can I do both, Volunteer and Walk the St. Joe 5K", the answer to both of those questions is Yes!

 

Every St. Joe 2019 Volunteer gets a "very cool" Performance Long Sleeve Tee, can indulge in the Fabulous Buffet & Beverages (bottled Spring Water, Craft Soda, and Starbucks Coffee), and have a chance to win and take home on race day one of the many Fantastic Door Prizes to be given away!

6:30AM to 7:30AM 5K Course & Finish Line Set Up

6:30AM to 7:45AM Race Day Packet Pick Up & Registration

6:30AM to 7:45AM Race Day Shirts Distribution

6:30AM to 7:45AM Box up donated non-perishable food items

6:30AM to 10:30AM Retro St. Joe Shirts Sales Table
